MONMOUTH Male Voice Choir will feature on S4C's Easter Monday broadcast of the London Welsh Festival of Male Voice Choirs.

Choir chairman Huw Edwards said: "Performing at the Royal Albert Hall last October, as 'Wales' newest choir' has been the highlight of our existence so far.

"We widened our repertoire and learned some very inspiring new songs, hymns and opera choruses for the concert.

"It was an incredible experience for choir members and for the coachload of supporters from Monmouth who were in the audience.

"We were one of fifteen choirs on stage but it should be possible to identify some familiar faces on television.

"Monmouth were dressed in black dinner suits and black bow ties. A DVD of the concert is already available which shows wonderful shots of the choirs and audience."

Welsh Language Channel S4C will be broadcasting a highlights programme of the 2014 London Welsh Festival of Male Choirs at the Royal Albert Hall on Easter Monday, 6th April, at 8.30pm.
