CHEPSTOW Apple Day, organised by Chepstow Town Council and Transition Chepstow, runs from 11.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday 28th October.

The event will be opened by the mayor at the Drill Hall at 11.45am.

There will be indoor entertainment all day, including Swn Celtaidd (1pm), Kre8ive Theatre Kidz (2pm), Chepstow Wassail Singers (3pm) and competitions and a raffle (4pm).

There will also be apple and juice sales, stalls, crafts, competitions, refreshments, apple identification and recycling advice.

Outside the Drill Hall at 1.15pm there will be an apple grafting demonstration while from 11am to 2pm there will be advice on choosing and growing apples.

Advice on apple-pressing and cider-making will be available all day.

In the Castle Dell Orchard there will be children’s activities from 11.30am to 3pm, an introduction to the community orchards and advice on pruning, and at 12.45pm there will be wassailing and tree planting

Cookery competition entries will be accepted in the Drill Hall between 10.30am and 11.30am.
