THE award-winning festival Sunrise Celebration is visiting Chepstow. The music, arts and ethical lifestyle event has relocated from its former location in Somerset to Chepstow. Sunrise Celebration takes place from Thursday 29th May to Sunday 1st June. The festival features an award winning children's area with shows, crafts, forest school a Victorian fair ground for younger festival-goers and this year is launching a new solar powered playground. The festival includes five live music stages, DJ venues, talks, craft workshops and a healing area offering saunas, yoga, massage and relaxation. The festival will be at Piercefield Park, which adjoins the famous Chepstow racecourse. For those who don't want to bring their own tent ready-pitched tents, teepees and bow topped wagons are available for hire. Sunrise is run according to best sustainable practice, with many of the festival's ground-breaking policies now being used by other mainstream festivals across the UK. The festival is powered by 100 per cent renewable energy, has a site-wide organic food and drink policy and compost toilets.
