A MAN has pleaded guilty to attempted murder following an attack in Chepstow.

John Way, of St Lawrence Park, Chepstow, appeared at Cardiff Crown Court on Monday (11th May) to change his plea and admit the charge, following a plea of not guilty lodged in February.

Way was arrested after stabbing a man in the neck and shoulder at a house on Woolpitch Wood in Chepstow on 25th November 2014.

The defendant pleaded guilty to attempted murder, grievous bodily harm, assault and having an offensive weapon in a public place.

He will be sentenced at the same court on Friday 15th May.
