CHEPSTOW is not a lucky venue for AP McCoy. Last November the champion jump jockey missed his 4,000th win which he had hoped would be in Chepstow, when he failed to win both of his races.

McCoy reached his 4,000th win the next day at Towcester in Northamptonshire on Mountain Tunes.

On Saturday (25th October) McCoy made his first race at Chepstow after being medically stood down by doctors on Friday 10th October following a heavy fall at Warwick.

However, Chepstow was not his lucky meet. The jockey had to pull up in his first race and came in fourth in his second.

McCoy's aim this year is to ride 300 winners, which he thinks he still can do, despite the time off.

McCoy is still on course for his 20th successive jockeys' championship in a record-breaking career.
