HAVE you got space in your garden to grow some sunflowers?

Chepstow Town Council has linked up with the Chepstow and District Gardening Club to encourage residents to grow plenty of sunflowers for a town display.

Various prizes will be awarded including ones for the tallest sunflower and the most flower heads on one plant.

During the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd August the whole town will be asked to bring as many flowering stems as possible to the town centre.

Free seeds are available at the town council offices on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 9.30am and 12.30pm. Seeds can also be collected from the gardening club's trading hut on Sundays between 10am and midday.
