MADAM,

I was appalled and upset to see our local MP David Davies talking about using water cannons, the army, and building camps for those migrants at Calais. How will this help the situation and how could he be so heartless?

People who are fleeing persecution and war deserve our sympathy and positive solutions not a quick soundbite that will allow some cheap publicity and give our MP a slot on Radio 4’s Today Programme. 

I am one of David Davies’s constituents but he certainly isn’t representing me with comments like this and I believe there are many thousands of people in the constituency who feel the way I do. We need to speak up.
