THE Beacon is pleased to announce that a charity has been chosen for our 2016 fundraising calendar.

We received a record-breaking 1100 votes, 76 per cent of which were for Meeting the Needs.

Meeting the Needs is a

registered charity that was formed in 1999 to benefit the pupils of Class 9, based in Overmonnow Primary School.

Some of the pupils of Class 9 have profound and multiple disabilities and therefore require expensive specialist equipment. designed to meet their needs to allow them access to the curriculum. It is the aim of the charity to support the education of the pupils, who come from across Monmouthshire, and to enhance the quality of life of pupils with additional educational needs.
