HOME-Start Monmouthshire is launching a Friends Group and is appealing for volunteers to be a part of it.
The small independent charity offers support, practical help and friendship to families who are experiencing difficulties, in their own home, and who have at least one child under the age of five-years-old.
Friends of Home-Start Monmouthshire are valued people who support the work the charity does in Monmouthshire. By becoming a friend, a volunteer will receive a quarterly newsletter, be informed and involved with fundraising events and will be invited to social occasions and the AGM. The friends campaign will be launched at Bridges Community centre this afternoon (11th February).
A spokesperson for the charity said: "If this appeals to you and wish to find out further information about Home-Start Monmouthshire, call on 01600 715608 or visit http://www.home">www.home
startmonmouthshire.org.uk.
"Home-Start Monmouthshire also wish to thank the many people who raised funds for us over Christmas and the New Year. We were truly staggered at the generosity and kindness shown".
The charity's next fundraising event will be held on Friday 6th March at 7pm.
The Beaufort Male Choir and the Drybrook Ladies Choir will be in concert at St Mary's Priory Church Monmouth. Tickets are available for £10 from DS Music, 2-4 Monnow Street, Monmouth, NP25 3EE (http://www.dsmusic.com">www.dsmusic.com) and from Home-Start Monmouthshire Office at Bridges Community Centre, Drybridge House.
