TWO Monmouthshire bank’s opening hours are to be reduced as part of cost-cutting measures.
Natwest branches in Monmouth and Chepstow will have their opening hours reduced from August, with the increase of online and mobile banking said to be the reason for the changes.
The Monmouth branch’s new opening times will be from 10am until 3pm, with the changes coming into effect from 15th August.A number of other branches in Wales will have their opening hours cut, while three branches across Wales will be closed completely.
Regional Officer of the union Unite Lyn Turner said: “With job losses across the country and surviving branches on reduced hours, there’s no doubt this latest round of cuts will hurt the bank’s customers as well as our members”.
