A WOMAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries after she was hit by a van in Magor this morning (Friday 19th January).

A spokesperson from Gwent Police said: “At approximately 9am this morning, 19th January 2018 officers were called to the scene of a road traffic collision on Newport Road in Magor. 

“The collision involved a van and a female pedestrian who was taken to the Heath Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.

“The road was closed for a period of time whilst officers carried out their work and recovery took place.

“Anyone who witnessed the collision should call 101 quoting log number 67 19/01/18.”
