POLICE are investigating the theft of a generator and a quad bike from neighbouring properties in the middle of the night.

The incidents which were captured on CCTV took place shortly after 2am on Monday, October 19, at properties in The Crosshands to Old Quarry Road in Llansoy near Chepstow.

Thieves used bolt cutters to break into an outbuilding to steal a red generator before taking a green Kawasaki KVE650 quad bike which is fitted with a tracker.

A grey-silver Nissan X-Trail was seen in the area around the time of the thefts and two men with their faces covered were spotted on CCTV at both properties.
