FIVE people have been arrested for the possession of drugs after police attended a reported rave in St Arvans in the early hours of Sunday morning (4th September).

Gwent Police attended reports of a disturbance in St Arvans at 5.15am, with officers locating loud music coming from speakers.

After attending the address police then stopped two vehicles nearby, when five people were arrested.

The spokesperson from Gwent Police said a 28-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of drugs, and is currently on police bail. 

The spokesperson added that a 19-year-old, two 21-year-olds and a 22-year-old were also arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A and class B drug, and were all cautioned.
