THE FAMILY of a 30-year-old Monmouthshire man who died in hospital following a collision on the A48 in Chepstow on Tuesday July 7, have paid tribute to him describing him as a ‘loveable rogue.’

Officers attended the scene alongside the Welsh Ambulance Service following a collision that involved an electric bicycle and a bus. The cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and later died in hospital as a result of his injuries.

He can now be named as Josh Roberts; his family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.

Josh’s family have since paid tribute to him.

“We as a family are absolutely heartbroken over the death of Josh who was the most amazing, daddy, son, grandson, brother and uncle.

“Everyone who knew Josh knew he always had the cheekiest of smiles and was known as a ‘loveable rogue’ he touched the hearts of so many people and was so loved.

“We as a family just want to thank everyone who was so selfless at the scene and did the best they could.

“A piece of us will forever remain broken but fly high Joshy, we’ll see you soon.”
